Double Closet Expansion in Alpharetta, GA

We updated two closet spaces in an Alpharetta home where the sloped ceilings made the openings different from standard closets. The room had two matching alcoves on either side of a central doorway. Our team built out the storage inside both spaces so they could hold more than loose items on the floor.

Making Use of the Angled Spaces

We added hanging rods and shelves inside the two recesses. The white shelving runs across the back walls, with space beneath the rods for longer clothing and other storage. The finished interiors follow the angled shape of the openings instead of fighting against the room’s layout.

The trim around each closet gives the two sides a consistent appearance. Looking at the completed room, you can see storage space on both sides of the doorway without taking over the main floor area. It is a practical way to use wall space that was already there.

Closet Storage Built for the Room

Rooms with sloped ceilings and deep alcoves often need a different layout than a standard reach-in closet. We can measure the openings, look at what you need to store and plan shelves or hanging space around the room’s shape. Getting those details right helps the storage work day to day.
