Anthony Molina was amazing. He was professional and got the job done ahead of schedule. I would definitely do business again with The Trusted Toolbox. Charlie Wilson was also friendly and very knowledgeable. I knew I made the right decision to have my home taken care of with this company.

😎 What Did Summer Do to Your House?
Summer is great for vacations, backyard cookouts, and keeping the air conditioner running overtime. Unfortunately, it’s also the season that quietly takes a toll on your home. Before cooler weather arrives, take a quick walk around your house. You might be surprised by what you find – and catching these small issues now can save you from much bigger repairs later.
🌳 Wood Rot
Wood rot has a sneaky way of hiding in plain sight. Check around window trim, door frames, columns, and other painted wood. If it feels soft, looks cracked, or the paint is peeling, don’t ignore it. Wood rot rarely gets better on its own – it just gets more expensive.
🛠️ Give Your Deck a Once-Over
Your deck has probably hosted plenty of summer fun. Now’s the time to make sure it’s ready for football season and fall gatherings. Look for loose railings, soft boards, popped nails, or wobbly steps. A few simple repairs now can help prevent bigger headaches later.
🚪 Sticky Doors and Worn Trim
If you’ve been shoulder-checking the back door every time you let the dog out, summer humidity may be the culprit. While you’re at it, inspect the trim around your doors for signs of moisture damage or rot. These are small repairs that can make a big difference.
🪟 Check Your Windows, Too
Take a look at the caulk around your windows. If it’s cracked, missing, or pulling away, water and hot air have an open invitation inside. Fresh caulk is one of the easiest ways to help protect your home before fall arrives.
The best part? You don’t have to spend every weekend climbing ladders or making trips to the hardware store. Our Handyman For A Day package is perfect for knocking out several of these projects in one convenient visit. You make the list—we’ll bring the tools, the experience, and hopefully save your Saturday.
I hired The Trusted Toolbox for a window sill repair. They sent out Rick Tillman and Joe and they did a great job with the repairs and left the area very clean. They were very communicative throughout and extremely friendly to work with. I’d highly recommend them.

Small Changes That Can Help Prevent Big Falls
Most falls don’t happen on stairs or outside – they happen during everyday routines inside the home. A few thoughtful updates can make daily life safer, easier, and more comfortable for years to come.
- Grab Bars Where You Need Them: Professionally installed grab bars in showers, tubs, and near toilets provide extra stability without sacrificing style.
- Non-Slip Flooring: Replace slippery surfaces in bathrooms, kitchens, and entryways with safer flooring options that provide better traction.
- Comfort-Height Toilets: Sitting down and standing up becomes much easier with comfort-height fixtures, especially for those with knee or hip concerns.
- Improved Lighting: Motion-sensor lights in hallways, bathrooms, and stairways help illuminate your path when you need it most.
Whether you’re helping Mom or Dad remain safely in their home or planning ahead for your own future, these simple improvements can make a lasting difference. As a CAPS (Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist) contractor, The Trusted Toolbox helps homeowners throughout Metro Atlanta, Athens, and the surrounding communities create homes that support safety, comfort, and independence.
I ordered a shed online and when it was delivered I quickly discovered that putting it together was out of my wheelhouse. I contacted The Trusted Toolbox after hearing good things about them on a home fix it show on the radio. Amy from the office sent me a link where I could upload a video explaining what I needed done. She responded suggesting that we should put the shed on pavers to keep everything level and working properly, gave me a price and a time for installation. The day of install Dwight showed up right on time at 8 am. By noon he and his helper had the pavers put down and the shed built complete with shelves inside. I couldn’t be happier with Dwight, Amy and The Trusted Toolbox.

Dean Standridge with The Trusted Toolbox was excellent to work with. He arrived on time, communicated clearly, and was transparent throughout the estimate process. He brought a great attitude and professionalism that made a strong first impression. As the first point of contact, he represented the company very well. Overall, a great experience.
